  1. Looks really good. I like it better than Trailboss… But let’s get some engine specs for once

    1. 5.3-liter V8, 6.2-liter V8 and 3.0-liter straight-six turbodiesel

      1. No kidding… Horse power? Torque? MPG? We’re still missing at least one engine. GM specially said there would be 6 drivetrain options. They have confirmed four (WITHOUT specs): 6.2 10spd, 5.3 8spd with 10spd opt., 3.0 10spd. We are missing at least one engine that would then be pair to the 8 AND 10 spd. Making 6 options. Or 2 engines with one trans option each. Maybe a hybrid/mild hybrid setup on the 10 spd. And a V6 or turbo gas engine.

But either way, there has been no specs released. Just engine displacements and number of gears. Show me HP, Torque, and MPG and I’ll send you 5 bucks.

        1. The earlier GM releases engine specs, the worse their position is against their competition. Ford could pull a quick one before their 2019 model year specs are released in order to get “bragging rights”. Ford did something similar when the Ram 1500 first got the Pentastar V6. Ford quickly revised the V6 F-150’s max-tow rating in order to one-up Ram.

  2. Sounds like AT4 is going to be another branch of GMC similar to Denali. Like Denali, it should print money. Consumers love the blacked-out, off-road rugged look on their trucks and SUVs. Iā€™m interested to see how that will translate to Acadia and Terrain, since they donā€™t necessarily have a rugged platform, but Iā€™m sure people will buy it. GMC is turning into the real star of GM.

  3. Has to be some sort of photo shop error.

    Those wheels are tiny.

    Reply
    1. They look small because the truck is lifted (they say by two inches, but it looks even higher in this photo). They’re either 18 or 20 according to the press release. Do you really want 22″ rims on an off-road (capable) truck? Maybe they’ll offer them for people who know they’re not going off road but still want a lifted truck to intimidate cars on the highway.

      1. I really wouldn’t want 18 or 20 on an off road truck either. 16 or 17 would be better.

  4. Still only a black interior…the reason my ’16 isn’t an AT.

  5. Although I am very excited for this vehicle one thing that particular stood out to me was it was going to debut on every vehicle (guess they didnt want a Terrain All terrain.) But I digress, That includes the Yukon which we know is about to go into it next and best Generation, but now we can let our minds wonder about a GMC Yukon AT4, a modern day more Luxurious Jimmy of sorts. Ohhhh how I love GM.

  6. Just a blacked out stock truck with more aggressive tires (are way to small), not anymore off road capable than a stock Sierra will be. When will GM make a true off road truck. Enough of these blacked out special editions. We need a Raptor fighter!

    1. Why do people insist that the factory do all the work for them? Why can’t customers build their own 4×4 they way they want to?

But a 4×4, put a lift on it, tire upgrade, power upgrade! Wow what a concept! Instead of just asking for more from a stock truck?

  7. The All Terrain or now AT has been that sub set truck under the Denali model in the entire line up.

This package makes even the mid priced models look very appealing and special.

    This is just smart marketing.

Yes the wheels look small I hope it is just the image.

  8. It looks okay but there is a problem with the proportionality between the body and the tires. The truck’s main cab and bed grew in size, but the tires did not. Thus, they look small even though they are the same size tires from the previous generation. The new Silverado suffers from the same problem, and it affects all trim levels. This same issue plagued a few model years of the Tundra, so badly that it was almost comical. I think they’ve fixed it now. Moral of the story–if you make the truck bigger/longer, you have to increase the tire size proportionally or else it’s going to look like an RV.
Not sure if the “Kalahari” accents can make up for that.

    Reply
    1. If you look at the actual photos from the auto show the tires are more proportional to the truck. this doctored photo is misleading.

  9. I don’t like how the whole front end looks, including wheel wells.

Is the suspension on this truck (not incl. the spacers) different than the suspension we would get in a Z71 package (more travel, better quality) ?

Hopefully there’s a ZR2 equivalent for the Sierra/Silverado in the very near future. With 17″ wheels plz. None of this half-a**ed crap.

P.S. Please give us a button or something to completely turn off TC/Stabilitrak and ABS, instead of having to take a fuse out every time.

  10. The designers at toyota do the thinking for GM seems like…..nothing is was or never will be appealing or exciting about a toyota product and looks like gm are taking notes on how to be lame uninspiring and boring just like toyota i just dont understand how and why gm focus hasn’t been to become more competitive and creative smdh

    1. I couldnā€™t agree more. GM seems to be erring on the side of caution these days and are becoming very boring. Uninspired and lacking design across the board.

  11. GM need to fire whoever the hell is doing these damn renderings. I thought the wheels from the original Sierra unveiling looked “off”, but this totally confirms it. The wheels look wildly disproportionate. If you watch the video, they look totally fine.

    Reply
    1. I watched the video, theyā€™re still small

      Reply
    2. How these even got released is beyond me. Out of all the people who would have seen these photos before they were released was there nobody who thought “hmm, something looks off here”? That’s the first thing I thought when I saw these renderings.

  12. It looks like GM has switched over to the new Ti DLP chip-based HUDs, and they look great. Can anyone confirm?

    Reply
  13. Arrrrggg STILL no information on the other engines, power ratings or MPG. It’s almost April for god’s sake. Meanwhile Ram already has there 2019’s out on the streets and on the website in all iterations along with the new 2019 Jeep Cherokee with all but the eTorque powertrains available. When GM introduces a new model year design it seems to take an eternity before it’s available to purchase or for all the options/trim levels to appear!

    1. Would you have rather they waited until the summer to show the truck so that it would be less time before they were available?

      Reply
      1. No how about instead they show a product early and then release information shortly after followed by the products without having to wait nearly a year like FCA did with the Ram as I said above.

  14. Whoever was in charge of these press photos should be fired. Obviously there was a Photoshop error, making the tires look ridiculously small. Compare these photos to photos taken in person at the event.

    Reply
  15. I saw the real photos the tires are fine just as they are on the Trail Boss.

  16. Can anyone tell what is left of the USB 2.0 port? Is it USB-C or micro-USB?

    Please be C.

    Reply
    1. It is USB c

      Reply
  17. It doesnā€™t look as good as the TrailBoss does in pictures. I hope to be wrong when I see it in person. Iā€™m not big on having big wheels with small tread especially for off roading. Also it doesnā€™t look like this is suppose to be an off-road truck, just off road capability. I donā€™t what it is really that make it look less sporty from the TrailBoss but I hope they donā€™t stop here because it sure is lacking in my opinion. Hopefully they will bring the ZR2 they had shown several years ago.
