Third 2019 GMC Sierra Teaser Image Shows Rear Lights

We are now only one day from the unveiling of the all-new 2019 GMC Sierra. And now, after various spy photos of the upcoming pickup truck and two teaser images, one showing off the truck’s headlights and the other showing its profile, we have a third image that shows us the rear lights.
What the new teaser shows us is an illuminated pair of the Sierra’s C-shaped LED taillights, which have become a signature trait of the model’s design language. To note, the front end will also feature similar C-shaped LED accent lights. We can also see the GMC logo prominently placed between the lights on the tailgate in the new teaser. The design results in an entirely different personality for the GMC compared to its 2019 Silverado platform mate (pictured below).
We didn’t get very far in enhancing the image, so we still can’t see the tailgate and other details of the new Sierra’s rear end. But based on spy shots, we believe that the 2019 GMC Sierra will at the least wear a different tailgate and wheel wells than the new Silverado, with which it shares its T1 platform. In addition, we came to find out only yesterday that the new Sierra will offer an optional carbon fiber bed – which will be a first for a pickup truck.
The all-new 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 will be revealed at a special event in Detroit on March 1st and GM Authority will be in attendance to bring you live coverage from the event. In the meantime, follow our GMC Sierra news coverage.
