The National Rifle Association will award one lucky person with a very unique 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. Up for grabs is this customized Silverado complete with NRA- and Richard Childress Racing-condoned touches.
Before you ask, of course it has a custom gun rack, which the NRA says has been personally designed by Richard Childress. Now that we have the obvious out of the way, the 2017 Silverado boasts a 528 horsepower V8 engine with 500 pound-feet of torque, thanks to an Edelbrock supercharger system. Complimenting the power boost is a 3.5-inch lift kit, custom shocks, Goodyear all-terrain tires and custom side steps among other details.
The winner will also receive a custom trailer to match the pickup along with an ATV and $50,000 in cash. In fact, the winner doesn’t even have to be a member of the NRA to enter the sweepstakes. However, with all the NRA badging and gun-friendly features, we don’t see why this would appeal to anyone other than an NRA member.

It’s painted Black! How’s that going to help everybody recognize that this is the GOOD guy with the gun? Won’t those police show up and think this is the BAD guy?
Childress got saved from his recent home-invasion by an ALARM, not a gun. Is this truck equipped with motion-sensors? After all, Childress’ life was saved by motion-sensors, NOT his gun. Can’t wait to see this manly-man gunslinging Pepe do-whatever-he-wants trying to get his truck going when the motion sensors fire all the guns on that rack right at the driver.
Now let’s look at reality: Conservatives are always on about how celebrities have zero place in politics. Republicans continuously criticize Dems for using DiCaprio, Clooney, Ellen, even Jane Fonda. And yet, who do we have leading the NRA? Carlton Heston, and Chuck Norris, freakn fakin’ Movie stars. The NRA is the Hillary of conservatism.
