General Motors and its joint ventures reported 367,712 new vehicle deliveries for January 2018 in China, a 14.5 percent increase from January 2017.

In 2018, GM will introduce 15 new and refreshed models to support sustained growth in its largest retail market. About half of those 15 new and refreshed models will be SUVs and MPVs to satisfy strong consumer demand.

Great to see GM succeed in China. Hopefully the company can capitalize on these profits to outcompete global juggernauts like Toyota, Hyundai, and VW. Also kind of sad to see US sales at mere 198,548 compared to the China sales. In my opinion, I think it would be great to see GM exceed its 18% market share and dominate the American market like Hyundai does in Korea with its 80% market share.
Keep in mind that U.S. sales are 2-3 times more profitable than Chinese sales (on a per unit basis). That said, yes – it would be great to see GM grow its market share at home…
