It’s been just over a year since the Chevrolet Bolt EV began deliveries, and the awards shelf is probably pretty full. Chevy will need to make room for another after Consumer Reports named the electric car its best “Green Car” for 2018.
CR said the Bolt EV shows that electric cars don’t need to compromise on performance in the name of frugality. The guide particularly lauded its driving dynamics and praised its driving range that occasionally exceeded 250 miles on a single charge. The Bolt EV holds an EPA-estimated range of 238 miles.
The long range should help drivers feel at ease behind the wheel as they putz around town, and the electric car’s high seating position ticks the right box for those following the crossover trend.
At the end of the day, aside from an occasional choppy ride quality, CR said General Motors has pulled off an “impressive feat” with the Bolt EV.

I wonder what the Tesla and Toyota fanboys will post now that their beloved “Consumer Reports” (who previously defended their models) has given their competition that award. GM did it better!
I bet its a lot like watching the Consumer Reports Haters on this site suddenly flip because they’re GM fanboys
Toyota wish they now how to build an electric car, their prime Prius is a joke car, I test drive that car if thats what you call it,,Thats why I owen a 2017 Bolt and 2018 Volt,All Toyota trys to build is Hyrogen junk that will not every take over, and who ever designs some of their Lexus and some toyota models are on drugs our bath, soap, because they look like pure junk. Wake up Toyota.
I can’t agree more about their design direction. The C-HR is tolerable but the rest is either boring or god awful.
It’s not sticker shock when you see a Chevrolet Bolt as much as how ‘SMALL’ of a car it is.. and this would be the appeal of Tesla’s Model S as it looks like a full size car and will be interesting when General Motors introduces a EV that is designed to replace the Chevy Impala.
Number one the Bolt has more leg room front and back then the Tesla’s model 3, have a good wait for a model 3 and pay a large price for the model S You need to test drive a Bolt, and you will not be waiting for a pipe dream Model 3 our pay the high price for a model S.
