2019 C7 Corvette ZR1 Configurator Fires Up

The 2019 C7 Corvette ZR1 cometh and Chevrolet has launched the car’s online configurator to build anyone’s perfect example.

Just to get in the door, the price of entry for a base Corvette ZR1 will be $119,995, which includes a $1,095 destination charge and a $2,100 gas guzzler tax. No matter coupe or convertible, either arrive with a 755-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged LT5 V8 engine.  Things only rise from there.

We decided to build our perfect Corvette ZR1, which meant sticking with the coupe body style (the convertible starts at $123,995) and choosing the 3ZR trim, which bumped us up to $130,990. The 3ZR trim adds loads of niceties such as heated and ventilated seats, a custom leather interior, unique emblems and embossing and more. It also automatically selects Sebring Orange Tintcoat as the exterior hue. That’s good because we were bound to select it anyway.

However, choosing the “Sebring Orange Design Package” is extra. Checking the box adds $6,995 to the price, but douses the car with orange highlights inside and out, adds competition bucket seats and swaps the regular steering wheel for a suede and carbon-fiber trimmed unit.

From there, we obviously checked the optional ZTK Performance Package, too, adding another $2,995. Thus, our 2019 Corvette ZR1 sported the adjustable rear wing, stickier Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires and tweaked performance suspension. We stuck with the seven-speed manual transmission, but the eight-speed auto will cost another $1,725.

Thus, our final total rang in at $139,985 before tax, title and other dealer fees. But, the price can go even higher by selecting the engine-build experience, swapping in fancier wheels and selecting from a boatload of accessories.

  1. I’d have to get it in black just to hide that funky front grill. I’m sure it looks better in person but the flatness of a screen makes it look odd.

  2. That’s a lot of money for a Corvette, but I suspect it’s worth every penny !!!!!!
