2018 Cadillac CT6 PHEV: Photo Gallery

GM Authority recently tested the 2018 Cadillac CT6 PHEV – which happens to be the brand’s biggest sedan that’s also the most efficient Cadillac model. And as we prepare our review for your reading pleasure, we wanted to share our photo gallery of the full-size sedan.

The photos were taken right in front of GM’s global headquarters at the Renaissance Center in Detroit during freezing temperatures, and those frozen pieces behind the wheels are not part of the car… they just wouldn’t come off, no matter how hard we tried. Nevertheless, the pictures exemplify the styling detail, lines, and overall presence of the Cadillac CT6.

So, without further ado – enjoy our 2018 Cadillac CT6 photo gallery.

  1. I still do not get why Cadillac or GM doesn’t advertise this car. After all this is the most technologically advanced car ever produced by the company . This is the best car you can buy from the corporation but yet we don’t see any National ads at all .
I’d be willing to bet that most people / future customers aren’t even aware that the CT6 is offered as a PHEV . Is that only offered on the Platinum mode ? What is the cost of one of these ?
Every dealer in a big city should have one of these in their showroom as a pull to bring in customers even if they end up buying a lesser model like a Premium Luxury .

    1. It’s made in China for China, the most likely reason its imported here is to support those dealerships who invested into the ELR (Chargers and Service Techs) along with the brand now can’t get accused of abandoning EVs/PHEVs…Further problems are that it’s a fullsize sedan which is a cold segment, a SUV is in the hot segment. The CT6 is the sole vehicle on the planet to offer SuperCruise yet you can’t get it on the PHEV variant…Finally if you go to Caddys website and build a CT6, you cannot select the PHEV from CT6 trims which means you can’t compare the PHEV on the same screen as the other CT6 ICE power-train options…It’s $76K…

  2. Another question is why Cadillac isn’t bringing the XT5 PHEV that’s being sold in China.. even if whether to test the waters on whether there’s any interest in such a vehicle before building them here; this again is another strike against the poor leadership at Cadillac because how are they supposed to sell something that no one knows about and why not take advantage of the success they’ve had with their DPI-V.R prototype race car which won the overall championship at the Daytona 24 Hour race.

  3. I hope to have a review for everybody to read soon. As a gen 2 Volt owner, I was hoping the CT6 PHEV would demonstrate an advancement of refinement in GM’s electrified vehicles. I don’t think it moves things forward very much. Impressively quick, though.

    1. Any idea how far along China is on charging infrastructure?

      I believe we (the US), is behind the curve on high-speed charging stations;

Hybrids make more sense, near term, if we don’t have a network of high-speed charging stations …

      1. Oh, and China runs on 220v power, vs 110v in the US, so chances are there’d need to be some (do-able) adjustments

  4. I must say: I love this black interior! It’s really black, not that horrible poor gray tht GM uses in other cars.

  5. I was I just going to say. GM needs to add some colors to the insides of the Cars and Trucks. Let the colors come alive.

  6. Where are the pictures of the Caddy PHEV on this web site? Or is this just click bait?

    1. Is your comment click bait? I just browsed through the 40 or 50 images… open your eyes.

      1. Gary – do you not see the images? They’re right there after the last sentence of the article. You simply click on the thumbnail and it expands the image.

PS: GM Authority does not condone nor take part in click bait.

    1. The Chinese still smoke like chimneys hence the smoking accoutrements in Chinese made vehicles.

The Communists haven’t worked out that most of the hospital admissions are due to smoke-related illnesses. They’re all too busy working out how to spend their next bribe from Big Tobacco lol.

      1. Smog is a bigger problem for the Chinese than tobacco smoking. They are not oblivious to that fact.

        1. So get out of the cancer-inducing smog into a plush GM/SAIC made automobile and fire up a cigarette?? The irony is not lost on me.

          1. No, but this is lost on you.

Smoke and smog aren’t the same thing.
