For much of the country, purchasing a new 2017 or 2018 C7 Corvette isn’t much of a priority in winter. However, there are some stellar unadvertised deals consumers may not be aware of.
Cars Direct uncovered available “Flex Cash” incentives, which can vary from dealer to dealer. Therefore, it will (quite literally) pay to shop around. For the 2017 C7 Corvette, the incentive is worth up to $8,000. Combined with an advertised incentive of $2,017, buyers can score up to $10,000 off a new 2017 model year Corvette.
The 2018 Corvette’s deal isn’t as sweet, but the Flex Cash bonus can take up to $6,000 off the car. The 2018 Corvette isn’t eligible for any other cash-back incentives. The 2019 C7 Corvette has no attached incentives, rightly so.
Major changes between the 2017, 2018 and 2019 model years are few and far between, meaning it may behoove buyers to seek out a 2017 Corvette to maximize the potential deal. The 2019 Corvette range does add the mighty C7 Corvette ZR1, however.

“dealer to dealer” is the where the problem lies…If you’re interested in a Corvette, your best odds are to google vette forums and look for previously reported deals and you’ll probably find a semi-local dealership will to sell the car under invoice before they apply incentives…Last July there was a $5000 private offer and while this is NOT guaranteed, but extremely high odds come Nov when the MY19s will already have been on the lots for a bit the MY18 Vette which have the most generous incentives…
I just wish the dealers would put the cost and discount on the windshield and let me decide if I can afford one.
Instead of having to talk to a salesman about it!
Jaguar is building F-Type coupes with a 2.0L DOHC-4V 4-cyl turbo to achieve higher fuel mileage; it’s fortunate that Chevrolet doesn’t need to consider doing this given that the Corvette’s LT1 6.2L OHV-2v V8 is equipped with cylinder deactivation to get mileage efficiency without doing something as drastic as replacing the LT1 with a LTG 2.0L 4-cyl turbo.
you gotta admit … that f-type is one beautiful car. i thought the avista would be gm’s answer but it wasn’t meant to be.
Dealers have had corvette flex since the beginning of the month…
The reality is that dealers want to blow these out right now so if you want one go in and ask for $15,000 off.
Given that the flex cash varies and that what they get is what they get and generally used, throughout the month, in order to sweeten multiple deals, whether by throwing on as bonus cash or by over allowing on a trade, for example, you’re kidding yourself if you think they’re going to throw the entire amount on a Vette. Even an aged one.
