When it comes to aftermarket exhaust setups for the Chevrolet Corvette C5, C6, and C7 generations, a commonly sought-after combination is Kooks long-tube headers with a Corsa Performance cat-back exhaust. But now, Corsa has decided to produce long-tube exhaust headers of its own, and they’re already available for certain Corvette and Ford Mustang applications.
In the future, Corsa will also offer these headers for the Camaro, Cadillac CTS-V, Dodge Challenger, Charger, Chrysler 300, and Ford Mustang GT500, but for now, these components are still under development.
In light of its new product, Corsa is offering a 10% discount as well as free shipping for the Corvette headers (promo codes VETTE10 and FREESHIPPING). Using the headers for the C7 and C7 Z06 as an example, you’ll see that this equates to quite a bit of savings. Pricing has already been lowered from the original MSRP of $1,731.95 to $1,299.00; with the 10% discount applied, you’ll pay just $1,169.10 for the headers shipped to your door.
The 3-inch tubing is said to increase the power output of the 6.2L V8 by 41 horsepower and 31 lb-ft of torque, though Corsa’s website doesn’t say whether that’s for the naturally aspirated LT1, or the supercharged LT4. That said, if you’re looking for a thunder-like exhaust that’ll rock your neighborhood every time you start the car, and you lack the tools/skills to bend and weld your own headers, these ought to do the trick. We’re hoping that Corsa releases a video sampling the new sound in the near future.
