Younger auto enthusiasts are interested in very different cars compared to older generations, and it’s not just about classic American cars anymore. However, that hasn’t stopped the C3-generation Corvette from rebounding in value after decades.
Hagerty reported earlier this month that the C3 Corvette’s poor stigma is starting to fade, and it’s slowly becoming more desirable. The publication and insurance company’s “Price Guide” shows tier-three condition 1975-1978 C3 Corvettes go for around $11,000, which represents a pretty good value for the money. Though, there’s no denying the earlier C3 Corvettes are much more attractive.
But dealers, including Garage Kept Motors in Grand Rapids, Michigan, said the C3 Corvette is a fast mover on the lot, and it’s actually sold some C3-generation cars for a profit.
It will likely be some time before the C3 Corvette reaches anywhere near the level that C2 and C1 Corvette values sit, but the rather unloved C3 is certainly finding its stride. In the meantime, C4 Corvettes are also beginning to show a resurgence.

Completely agree,
this has been true this year and last. The interest is in the shape and the memory of the car rolling past with some smoking girl in the passenger seat. You remember thinking: What is she doing with him? it was the car man!
We sell Vette’s from every era and you can bet we are getting interest in this beauty.
