2019 Silverado Interior To Offer Heated Rear Seats

The 2019 Silverado interior will, in fact, offer heated rear seats – answering the desires of many. We saw the feature when exploring the new Chevy truck at the reveal event yesterday evening.
From an availability standpoint, we’re sure that the heated outboard rear seats will not be a feature on all 2019 Silverado models. For instance, the LT Trailboss model that shown at the reveal didn’t have them, but the range-topping High Country did. But we wouldn’t read too much into that, since the feature could be a either an option, offered either as standalone or as part of a package on some models like the LT Trailboss.
On models so equipped, the controls/buttons to enable and disable the heating function are located on the back of the center console just above the new rear HVAC vents and various ports, including two USB ports (type C and type A) and a 120-volt household-style outlet.
In addition to adding HVAC vents, Chevrolet also improved the comfort of second-row passengers in the 2019 Silverado 1500 by stretching the truck’s cab. Specifically, Crew Cab models now offer three inches of additional rear-seat legroom in the 2019 Silverado interior, compared to the outgoing model, for an impressive 44.5 inches of front legroom and 43.8 inches of rear legroom.
Stay tuned to GM Authority for more on the all-new Silverado, including the 2019 Silverado interior, and be sure to follow our Silverado news coverage.
Is the dial above the 4×4 buttons a drive mode selector?
As I’m reading this ram Just said they’re offereing ventilated seats for the back…..
Love the Trail Boss 🙂 Going to have one of these in my driveway , now I just need to see one in Silver . Job well done Chevrolet .
Well done GM! The Silverado is back and better than ever!!! If the Silverado is this good, I can’t help but imagine how awesome the upcoming Sierra is gonna be! With GMC’s emphasis being more towards luxury, I hope they go all out on premium cabin materials and tech! Like a panoramic sunroof option and heated/ventilated rear seating! Oh! And offer a 12 in. infotainment screen unit like the one in the new RAM! That thing is awesome!
It’s a good looking truck outside but the interior doesn’t seem that different than the current Silverado. I predict a quick interior refresh as the RAM has heated/vented seats front and rear, a much bigger screen, real wood trim and more.
What the hell is a USB type C port!?! being a younger person, I know a bit about the newest tech but i have yet to hear about of see these in the mass market yet.

BobP and J are just “I want that guys”, if you want that crap go buy it. Or better yet just go buy a luxury car, probably better fits y’all better for what you want and need.
Common Sense, what a dumb ass! I drive a ’17 Colorado Z71 Crew Cab/long bed/diesel/engine block heater. Yup, it has heated front seats which is great if you live in Northern NH where it goes down to minus 20 several times a year. Given your grammar I presume you live in a place with 10 months of warm weather and 2 months of rain. And yes, for those folks with a lot of coin to spend, they’ll want heated/vented front and rear seats and if real wood trim is available vs. fake wood, they’ll go for that too. If I had the extra money I’d go for that too. I presume even you understand these concepts of catering to higher incomes?
