2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Named ‘Cars.com’ Best Pickup Of 2018

The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 was snubbed for the North American Truck of the Year award, but Cars.com found it worthy of its highest praise.

The mid-size off-road pickup took home the publication’s Best Pickup Truck of 2018 award after rigorous testing and a final conclusion that Chevrolet did not have to build the ZR2, or make it so good. But it did anyway.

Judges lauded the truck for its off-road behavior and capability, but also praised it for its on-road dynamics. Chevrolet consistently told media the ZR2 is a truck that owners can drive to work in the morning and take out on the trail in the evening. The 2018 Colorado ZR2 accomplishes just that.

The Colorado’s reintroduction was a big gamble, and the ZR2 doubled down. So far, it’s a winning bet for Chevy and GM.

I will not buy another until they fix the downshift trouble in my 2015 with 20,000 miles on it. And it is not the gearing, it is rpm shift point. FIX IT
