ZTK Track Performance Package To Be Available On 2019 Corvette ZR1 Convertible

Chevrolet impressed the world when it announced the 2019 Corvette ZR1 Convertible. In the moment of the announcement, however, it wasn’t entirely clear whether the optional ZTK package that graces the new Corvette ZR1 Coupe would be made available on the soft-top. But thanks to the recently-published 2019 Corvette order guide, we now have our answer – a resounding YES!

Officially known as the Track Performance Package, the optional bundle is assigned RPO code ZTK and includes:

  • Performance Ride and Handling Suspension
  • Front P285/30ZR19 and rear P335/25ZR20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 summer-only, run-flat tires
  • Adjustable high-wing spoiler
  • Specific front splitter end caps

Chevrolet says that the ZTK package provides 60 percent more downforce than the optional Z07 package on the C7 Corvette Z06.

So, those who wish to order their ZR1 drop-top with a massive rear wing and reach the 212 mph top speed can do so. These are great times for gearheads… great times, indeed.

  1. Why would a person want a track pack with a convertible?

    1. because why not?

That’s seriously the selling point on that car. If you’re going to have 755hp, why not get the track pack? If you’re going to have no trunk space, why not make the trunk inaccessible? If you’re already spending $125,000, why not spend $3000 more? If you’re going to have a crazy Corvette, why not have the craziest Corvette?

    2. Apparently it’ll sell anyways. I’ve never seen a Z06 convertible without the Z07 package. Never. In fact, almost every Z06 that I see is a Z07. Corvette buyers like performance numbers and great handling.

  2. Because having a convertible makes the car slower so if you are going to buy the track pack you want it in coupe form so you can get the best lap times!

I would buy the track pack in coupe layout

    1. Who says that the corbette convertible is slower?

And even if it were slower (it is not), a convertible provides a completely different kind of experience. Not everything is about numbers.

    2. You can’t afford either, so who cares?

  3. Most tracks won’t let you run a convertible on their track unless you have a roll cage or bars ! Not about to install them on my ’15 ZO6 convertible
