When the 2019 C7 Corvette ZR1 made its debut, Chevrolet touted the fact it will actually shoot fire from the exhaust. While we had no reason to not believe the brand, we now have video evidence that the car will indeed do just that.
Chevrolet published a YouTube video showing the ZR1 during a high-speed run, and seconds into the video, it’s flame on. The exhaust shoots a bright white and blue hue of flames as the Corvette ZR1’s 6.2-liter LT5 supercharged V8 engine roars into the night. To quote Paris Hilton, “that’s hot.”
The 2019 C7 Corvette ZR1 likely represents the final marker of performance for this generation with 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque. With the optional ZTK performance package, the car will also make up to 1,000 pounds of downforce with its massive rear wing. And, yes, the Corvette team targets a sub-7-minute Nürburgring time with the car.
Check out the video above, and then read about how this latest ZR1 wasn’t even planned and nearly didn’t happen.

WOAH!!! That’s awesome! I was searching all over the web looking for confirmation of this! Certainly boosted my interest in the ZR1!!!
I love the sound of butter!
I can’t wait to see an official lap time for the Green Hell and what the final production configuration is that achieves it.
