Wherever we go, the upside-down Chevrolet Camaro keeps showing up. This time, it’s getting some high-profile attention. The awesomely weird creation will be featured on Jay Leno’s Garage in a future episode.
The San Francisco Gate reported on Sunday that Leno and Jeff Bloch, the owner, were spotted filming in the city where the car garnered looks everywhere it went. The car itself is actually a 1990 Ford Festiva with a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro body mounted on top. As many know, Bloch built the car in 2013 to participate in the 24 Hours of LeMons race. The car recently surfaced in the news after a homeowner’s association deemed the car an eyesore and called for its removal.
As far as we know, that never happened, since the car is perfectly legal to drive and passes all California emission testing.
“It’s just a good visual gag and a bit of clever engineering to make the body come off for maintenance.”
