Chevrolet cleaned up in the Kelley Blue Book “Best Family Car” awards. Not one, not two, but three Chevys earned recognition for their family car chops. Better yet, there’s one for every size.
The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, 2018 Chevrolet Traverse and the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe each took home an award among multiple contenders. KBB named the Equinox its best two-row SUV, the Traverse its best three-row SUV and the Tahoe its best full-size three-row SUV. Each is a high honor since every Chevy listed duked it out with Hondas, Toyotas, Subarus and more. It shows Chevrolet is on tap with its crossover portfolio. Ford made just one appearance with the redesigned 2018 Ford Expedition. Fiat-Chrysler landed in the minivan winner’s circle with the Chrysler Pacifica.
Next year, we’ll likely see Chevrolet’s portfolio grow. The 2019 Chevy Blazer will arrive to bridge the gap between the Equinox and Traverse with GMC Acadia-like proportions. For now, Chevy is basking in family-car awards

As the owner of a 2009 Chevy Equinox, I fully agree! It is a hidden gem in the Chevy lineup, and it has outsold all other Chevy vehicles, except the Silverado.
But GM is ignoring the market for the Hybrid and/or plug-in Equinox variants. Since it does share the D2XX platform of the Chevy Volt, it must get a hybrid variant, and a plug-in is even better.
