Before SUVs and crossovers dominated so much of the global automotive scene, the Cadillac Escalade was already a successful nameplate. This quick television spot for Cadillac’s high-price, luxurious land yacht seems to build off of this notion of the Escalade as an undisputed leader.
The ad is titled “Cadillac Escalade One & Only – Chances” and the YouTube description reads: “You can take a chance, or you can make a bold choice.” We take that to mean the Cadillac Escalade is the “bold choice” – the “one and only” correct option – while everything else in the segment is a risk.
Before consumers started embracing larger vehicles en masse, there really weren’t too many options for folks who wanted a lavish SUV. Now, the world is flush with posh utilities, with new entrants like the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus joining the fray; it makes sense that Cadillac would want to remind consumers of the Escalade’s heritage.

A lot of the new ultra-luxury SUV’s hitting the market are in a top tier segment . It will take more work on GM’s part to move the Escalade to that point . Just raising the price isn’t the answer. The Escalade is the better choice in the market it competes in , like the Navigator or Infinities SUV or the Lexus .
This is just part of the campaign to grab customers away from the newer Lincoln , and it’s a good thing to see GM squeeze their tight advertising budget for once to show off Cadillacs top image vehicle .
