For lengthy Christmas travels, or even quick jaunts across town, OnStar is bringing back a much-loved feature: the Santa tracker. Beginning at 6 a.m. on Christmas Eve, OnStar and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) will begin providing updates on Santa’s location across the globe.
It’s a wonderful feature to keep kids appeased during car rides, and OnStar has only incentivized the service more this year. Every time the driver or passenger presses the blue OnStar button, the company will donate $1 to the Red Cross. Considering the sheer number of subscribers, the possibilities for Christmas giving are immense.
OnStar and NORAD will update Santa’s location every hour from Christmas Eve morning until 6 p.m. on Christmas day and it comes at no additional cost. Keep the kids in the know this year; press the blue button, parents.

The free service is also available for Great Britain, I just hope NORAD do not get mixed up with a missile launch and Santa as a white and red cloth debris and a few sets of antlers floating down may take some explaining 🙂
