There is a lot to discuss surrounding the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, and we don’t even have all of the specifications just yet. What we do have, though, are a handful of photos depicting the 2019 Silverado Trailboss—a newcomer to the Silverado lineup.
And one major change sits at the rear with an integrated dual-exhaust setup. It’s quite a departure from the current Silverado, which features a side-exit exhaust of sorts on the passenger side of the truck. Shapes and proportions can work wonders on the eyes, and the horizontal exhaust pipes help give the 2019 Silverado Trailboss a sleeker and less plump look at the rear, especially when looking at photos of the current truck. The fact that the liftgate handle has moved up also helps things look more proportionate as well.
Flanking the exhaust is the step-up bumper, which many owners have come to love. Again, everything looks more proportionate with the exhaust integrated and we quite like the look. It will be interesting to see how other 2019 Silverado variants look without the integrated exhaust, or with a bowtie badge on the rear tailgate.
We’ll know plenty more soon enough. Chevrolet has a media event scheduled next month ahead of the 2018 North American International Auto Show and we expect the Silverado will be there. In the meantime, be sure to follow our Chevy Silverado news coverage.

Appearance is purely subjective. With that being said, IMO…I like the new Silverado. The last ~10 years have been an evolution of the same old, tired design. I need to see a ’19 in person before making a final decision though.
I wonder if the dual exhaust hints at an IRS…
I love the exhaust tips and the way they are positioned at the bottom of the bumper.
