Chevrolet Partners With Operation Homefront To Honor Dedicated Caregiver At Army-Navy Game

During this year’s Army-Navy football game, Chevrolet returned as a title sponsor. But, it also teamed up with Operation Homefront to honor dedicated caregivers that take care of wounded veterans.

Former CEO and Chairman, Dan Akerson, presented Shawn Moore and her family a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse during the game. The token of gratitude comes from her commitment as an Operation Homefront Hearts of Valor group facilitator and her caregiving services. She’s taken care of her husband Bryan who was medically retired from the Army after 23 years.

“Recognizing Shawn Moore and the exceptional care that she is providing for her husband, Bryan, is a small way for GM and Chevrolet to bring attention to the vital role organizations like Operation Homefront play in the daily support of our military families,” Akerson said.

GM remains committed to helping U.S. veterans and currently employs 6,000 through various facets of the company.
