If driver satisfaction is the goal, an exhaust kit is one of the best mods he or she can perform. In this video, we’re introduced to a sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro SS equipped with a Competition Series cat-back exhaust from MagnaFlow (part No. 19358). This exhaust features dual polished tips; is comprised of 409 stainless steel; and – from what we hear – makes the naturally-aspirated, 6.2-liter LT1 V8 sound bellow like a beast.
MagnaFlow’s website lists the system as “under development”, so we don’t yet know what sort of power and torque gains might be expected, nor what the suggested retail price will be. However, a similar MagnaFlow Competition Series cat-back is priced at $1,586.53 on AutoHance.com.
You could say $1,600 is a lot of money for pre-fabricated tubing, but it’s the price you’ll have to pay if you want an easy, DIY-friendly, bolt-on solution. Watch the short exhaust video for yourself, then let us know if you think the system is worth the dough.
