Chevrolet To Fully Reveal 2019 Silverado On January 13, 2018

Having made a brisk appearance this past Saturday at the Chevy Truck Centennial celebration in Texas, the 2019 Silverado will make its full-fledged debut on January 13th, 2018. That much is according to Chevy’s official website.

The unveiling falls on a Saturday and we have it on good accord that it will take place at an exclusive event in Detroit, just days before the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). GM Authority will be present and accounted for during the invite-only affair, which is when we expect to see gobs of complete information about the pickup.

The private unveiling prior to NAIAS explains why GM won’t host any press conferences during the actual show.

Notably, Chevy has yet to provide complete information about the new Silverado, as it only showed off the 2019 Silverado Trailboss variant at the Centennial gathering. It also said that the model is the result of over 7,000 customer interviews – the most in its history – and that it will have a bed floor made of higher-grade alloy steel. Hence, we expect to find out complete details about the truck at the January 13 event, and share them with you right here on GMA. In the meantime, be sure to follow our Chevy Silverado news coverage.

  1. I hope Chevrolet Trim options won’t be limited because of GMC and Cadillac. Chevrolet needs to go head to head with Ford and not count on GMC or Cadillac for that matter, that means high country needs to have at as much features or more then the king ranch and not count on denali to tackle the platinum edition and have its own version at Chevrolet stable. Z-71 trail boss is nice, and probably competes with ram rebel, tundra trd pro, but not the raptor. I wonder if GM will have a raptor competitor.

    1. in my opinion from the sound of it GM finally listened to customers. the 7000 person interviews, and they are claiming these will be the most tested trucks in their history. 8 trim models with a variety of engine/transmission combos is what will lure in buyers and keep existing customers. Being that the GMC sierra will finally actually have different sheet metal I think it will give the Silverado more room to play and compete directly with Ford and Rams high end offerings. The GMC isn’t even being revealed on the same day which in my mind means they are really attempting to set it even further apart from the chevy where they can truly go premium and attract a different buyer. I also really hope the interiors on the Silverado and Sierra have some noticeable differences too. these same things will hopefully be done for the SUVs. escalade apparently will get an independent rear suspension. we will see
