The recently-announced Championship Editions of the Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V celebrate Cadillac’s first-ever endurance racing Manufacturer’s Championship, secured in the first year of the brand’s return to the long-distance sport. And while Cadillac’s initial announcement contained some pretty rad photos of the cars on the track, we got to see the CTS-V Championship Edition in person at last week’s Los Angeles Auto Show, where we photographed it to bring it to you today.
The Championship Edition is no different from other third-gen CTS-Vs in that it has presence like few other vehicles do today. Even so, we could do without the various exterior elements unique to the special edition model… except for the red mirror caps – we tend to like those. We also like the red interior accents that are part of the Morello Red Package, which could also be optioned on non-V units of the CTS.
Check out the gallery of photos live from the LA Auto Show floor. And when you’re finished, feel free to check out more on the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Championship Edition and its smaller brother, the 2018 ATS-V Championship Edition.

I tried ordering one of these for stock this last weekend – and stopped short doing so because The Championship Edition is a $17,500 option pkg ??!
Way too much money for carbon, stickers & trim.
Yeah, it’s quite a bit, but you do also get a fully-loaded CTS-V for that price, including the Carbon Fiber package, the luxury package and the Morello Red Package.
I do believe there are CTS-V customers who will jump at this car.
That is alot of coin for this car , and if I had that kind of dough sitting around I would for sure have one parked in my driveway . It may be getting a bit old but when you actually see a regular CTS-V decked out in all the Carbon Fiber in and out with the lower splitter in front makes it look mean just sitting still .
If I was lucky enough to own one I would like to see a flat bottom on the steering wheel , but I don’t have to worry about it unless Santa thinks I have been an outstanding person this year ( Black please ) but not holding my breath . 😉 .
Yeah the CTS-V is a looker. The CTS’ angles and the creases combine peddectly with V specific elements. I like the ATS-V too, just wish it had those lower LED lights that the non-V ATS has.
Now it just needs the Vette’s 7 speed manual and I might bite.
Get ready for my statement, here it comes-the 3rd-Gen (V3) CTS-V, is the most incredible car ever made by GM/Cadillac.
What do you base your comment on? Facts or hope?
Neither, my opinion.
This looks really good… even a bit understated in black in spite of the stripes. Cadillac should offer a “chrome delete,” sport trim package as a regular option option on the CTS-V, instead of just this limited special. I’m sure it would look good with other colors, too.
What I don’t get is that it’s a 2018 Model, yet on the back window it says “2017 Championship Edition.”
I am about to purchased the CTS -V Championship Edition in White , I took one for a test drive, 640 Hp WOW
G/M Cadillac you out did your self , This is a eye stopping sleeper , { Sick } I can’t wait to get this in my driveway .
