The 2017 SEMA show was all about the trucks at Chevrolet, and the brand didn’t disappoint in that respect. One of the brand’s highlights was none other than a hardcore Colorado ZR2 concept: the Chevy Colorado ZR2 AEV.
The truck boasts numerous improvements from American Expedition Vehicles including unique front and rear bumpers, underbody skid protection, higher-clearance AEV fender flares and a big ol’ snorkel. Chevrolet also retuned the Multimatic DSSV dampers for greater off-road capability and the brand gave the rear leaf spring suspension a longer travel.
There are other nifty features, too. A fridge and freezer and NATO fuel cans reside in the pickup’s bed and LED lighting shines brightly for optimal night-time vision. We also like the front grille, which spells out “Chevrolet” rather than a traditional bowtie.
Check out the truck in the video above.
