The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office has a new Sheriff Unit: this sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro SS. Last year’s Sheriff Unit was a Ford Mustang, so we’ll call it an upgrade. (This was this author’s attempt at humor. -Ed.)
Granted, the new Chevrolet Camaro SS Sheriff Unit isn’t actually used for field operations or traffic stops; while the leased vehicle would make for an interesting and stealthy patrol car, it’s instead used by the sheriff as a daily driver, and as a show car for community events and outreach programs. Its only modifications are the lights by HG2 Emergency Lighting, and their supporting hardware. The setup is similar to – if not the same as – the Dodge Charger Hellcat Sheriff Unit presented to Shaq by the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office last year.
Hit play to see the Camaro’s light show, but if you’re prone to seizures, you may want to refrain, as the hectic flashing might prove a bit much.
