At Mecum’s 2017 Kansas City auction event starting late in November, this rare 1967 Buick GS 400 convertible is slated to cross the block, giving bidders the chance to own one of the mere 2,140 GS 400 convertibles ever built. It features a rare Apple Red-on-Red color combination and a matching-numbers 400-ci V8 rated at 340 horsepower.
The exterior of this Buick GS 400 convertible has been repainted once, but you can rest assured the sheet metal is rust-free and original. Original features include: power windows, power seat, power convertible top, air conditioning, and an AM/FM radio.
This well-kept specimen has just 56k miles on the odometer, and that reading is believed to be accurate, being supported by the ownership history and maintenance receipts. According to the Hagerty Evaluation Tool, cream-of-the-crop 1967 GS models can sell for more than $40,000, and given the rarity of this particular model, we’d say this Buick has a fighting chance to match that figure.

What a beauty. I would be honored to have that sitting in my garage.
