General Motors plans for 20 new electric cars by 2023, and we have a feeling one of them will, in fact, be a sporty coupe of sorts. However, Honda may beat GM to the game after it revealed a follow-up to the Honda Urban EV concept: the Sports EV concept.

Honda Sports EV Concept
The Sports EV concept clearly takes inspiration from the Honda S600, another sports coupe from the company produced in the 1960s, but the front and rear fascia emulate the retro Urban EV concept. Honda did not, however, disclose any electric powertrain details. Nor did it say which wheels drive the car. We can only assume this is a rear-wheel-drive car.
Whatever the performance specifications, Honda said it wanted to create a joyful and emotional car.

Honda Sports EV Concept
Although electric cars are likely some time away from mass adoption, we firmly believe the industry is due for more fun-to-drive EVs. Autocrossing a Chevrolet Bolt EV is one thing, but building a proper electric sports car is a completely different realm. Hopefully, GM is on deck.

I dont see much sport here. miatas look sleeker
Just because another company built a type of concept car doesn’t mean GM should put one into production. The market for small electric sports cars, let alone gas powered ones, is very very small, automotive journalists aside.
A Chevrolet EV sport would be inexpensive to build, and serve as a halo car for the division. Chevrolet is still a somewhat damaged brand, especially on the coasts, and fails to lead in most segments, with the brand lacking a benchmark like Civic, Accord, CR-V.
Camaro speaks to older shoppers. An EV speed racer will attract youth to the brand while showing that non Tesla electric cars can be fun and sexy, too.
If they have to do a EV sporty car at least make it a car that people can live with and drive as a primary vehicle.
These are too expensive to have as a limited use car. They get too expensive then most sport people will buy a Camaro or a Used C6 or C7.
Sport people buy for performance no eviromental concerns.
Emostion ps for most is the feel th noise, smell and vibration of a performance car. Most performance buyers look for all senses not just 0-60.
I can’t help but see a RA28 Toyota Celica when I look at this!
How original Honda.
That is one ugly car
These cars are great, I like them very much.
the design of the car is very attractive, I like it
Hey there this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!|
I really appreciate the kind of topics you post here. Thanks for sharing us a piece of great information that is actually helpful. Good day!
