Chevrolet brought on country superstar Luke Bryan as its brand ambassador last year to replace Kid Rock, and we have our first look at what Bryan imagines as his perfect Chevy vehicle. The Luke Bryan Suburban debuted at the 2017 SEMA show today with custom graphics, a raised ride height, and more.
Bryan says all of the modifications play to his outdoor lifestyle, which includes adventure, hunting and fishing. “If you were a Bryan, you drove a Chevy — and I’m a longtime Suburban owner. This partnership is a natural fit for me and this unique Suburban represents everything I and my family want for our outdoor adventures,” he said.
Chevy lifted the suspension to fit 22-inch wheels, wrapped in 35-inch off-road tires. The Suburban’s roof features an equipment carrier fit with a fishing rod holder, Baja Designs light rack and a roof basket with extensions. The exterior color, called Hunter Bronze, boasts Dark Carbon accents and camouflage graphics, and around the Suburban, custom “Huntin’, Fishin’, Lovin’ Every Day” badges are present.
Perhaps one of the coolest features is a swing-out tailgate, rather than a lift-up version found in production Suburbans. It also includes a spare tire mount.
Inside, Chevy trimmed the interior with an olive color and Anodized Orange and Dark Carbon accents. Additionally, the seats are trimmed with Argon piping and Platinum camo-pattern perforated inserts.
Chevrolet showed a similar Kid Rock-inspired Silverado concept two years ago, though it didn’t spawn a production vehicle. It’s unclear if Chevrolet is mulling production for this Suburban, but we have to admit, it looks pretty darn cool.
