Looking to transplant a modern, Gen-V LT V8 engine into another small-block-powered car or truck? These Trans-Dapt mounts are the perfect solution for any DIY-er contemplating such a swap.
Using these mounts means you won’t have to fabricate your own, and this can save you quite a bit of time and energy – especially if you haven’t much experience with fabrication. With a price tag of $82 to $220 depending on the options you choose, we’d say it’s certainly worth it for someone who has never taken on such a chore.
Trans-Dapt’s Gen-5 LT Engine Swap Mount Kits include a complete set of heavy-duty, laser-cut 5/16” plates, mount pads, and Grade 8 installation hardware. The mounts are available in three different motor mount positions: 5/8” forward, 5/8” rearward or 1-1/8” rearward. In addition, the kits come with three different pad options: polyurethane pads, OE-style rubber pads, or without any pads.

I prefer to use the Dirty Dingo brand adaptor mounts. They do LS and LT as well. Very high quality stuff.

I use the Dingos in our swaps. Great products, but as yet, they don’t offer them for the new LT-1 crate engine.
GM-Authority should do an article on the new LT-1 Crate engine the LT376. We have several on order.
