Many would agree there’s not much you could do to improve the iconic Chevrolet Corvette, but we don’t think anyone would be against the addition of nitrous, a turbocharger, or an all-wheel-drive system.
One racer, featured in the video above, added all of the above to his Chevrolet C3 Corvette quarter-mile monster.
The car was built by a Poland-based company known as VTG, and it’s powered by a modern, 6.2-liter LT1 fitted with a 91-millimeter turbocharger that sends up to 1,628 horsepower to all four wheels, courtesy of the AWD system from a GMC Typhoon. In this video, those modifications turn out to be enough to enable the car to run the quarter-mile in a rippling 7.545-seconds at 173.4 miles per hour.
Making the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs? That’s child’s play.
