In recognition of the solar eclipse that occurred on Monday, August 21st, the National Corvette Museum displayed this solar eclipse banner for a week in the Design and Engineering area, offering a photo op in the Museum with the banner and the Astrovette.
With the event now over and the banner no longer needed, NCM listed the banner for auction on eBay, giving fans a chance to own a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of NCM history with which to gussy up the garage or basement. The 297-inch-long, 120-inch-high banner is printed on 10-ounce vinyl with grommets at the top, and is said to be in “like new” condition.
Bidding ended on August 31st, the banner being sold for the princely sum of $510 shipped, and undoubtedly making one lucky Corvette fanatic very happy indeed.
