Hummer H1 Owned By Tupac Shakur Goes For $200K At RR Auction

A month before his death, Tupac Shakur purchased this 1996 Hummer H1 and had it customized to suit his tastes. Last month, after years in storage and a handful of other private owners, it was sold at auction to a new owner, relying on its celebrity ownership history to pull in more than $200k.

The last time Tupac’s Hummer sold, it was auctioned for a stout $337,000 back in May of 2016. The buyer later ended up defaulting on the payments, and the Hummer was re-listed in the Pop Culture auction from the RR Auction house, where it sold for a high bid of $206,531.

For that much money, the new owner gets an SUV featuring a 360-degree spotlight, grille guard, diamond-plate bumpers, GC Package oversized off-road wheels and tires, and an external PA system with three sirens. The interior is trimmed in burl wood with beige leather upholstery, and provides a 12-disc Clarion sound system, Sony GPS, a central tire inflation system, and a 12,000-pound winch.

With just 10,101 miles on the 6.5-liter turbo diesel engine, this is a fine, low-mileage example of a clean H1 and we’re sure it’ll be a great talking point for its owner.
