Teenage Corvette Driver Arrested Following Hit And Run During Woodward Dream Cruise

An 18-year-old C7 Corvette driver has been arrested after crashing into a couple’s 1954 Chevrolet pickup truck and fleeing the scene during the 2017 Woodward Dream Cruise.

According to Hometown Life, the teenage driver was drag racing on Woodward Avenue when he lost control of the C7 Corvette and struck an Ohio couple’s vintage Chevy pickup. The truck was undrivable following the wreck and the driver fled the scene, police said.

Officers spoke to witnesses and were able to locate the Corvette following the crash. Following his arrest, he will face a court on September 6, 2017, where he is charged with drag racing and fleeing the scene of an accident.

Unfortunately, it put quite a damper on the couple’s Woodward Dream Cruise plans, who just arrived that morning. There’s been no word on the condition of the classic truck or what the couple plans to do following the incident.

  1. Appears that not even the Corvette’s electronics could help out this C7 driver. The laws of physics are immutable. Sheer and clear stupidity cannot overcome them either. The unfortunate part is the couple’s classic pickup truck that was damaged by the idiocy.
