Roadkill Restores First-Gen Pontiac Firebird After The Car Sat For 17 Years: Video

There’s something to be said about attempting to complete a car project in a few short days before taking it to a track day or car show, but the fellas at Roadkill really take that endeavor to the extreme.

Before taking a 3,300-mile lap of the United States and visiting 17 tracks along the way, Mike Finnegan decided to procure the restoration of this 1969 Pontiac Firebird. It was his chance to run his dream car… though it wasn’t going to be easy.

With no drivetrain in the Firebird, seized brake calipers and suspension parts, rust, and little idea in regards to the parts they might still need, the fellas attempt to get this car running strong in less than 48 hours, which is all the time they have before the intense week of driving began.

We will say the guys do, in fact, meet the deadline, and Mike and Tony Angelo are able to use the Firebird to compete. So, go ahead and hit play if you’re at all curious to find out if the pair can beat David Freiburger and Roadkill editor Elana Scherr in their Challenger Hellcat.

A car-loving millennial. We Are!
