Opel Grandland X, Insignia GSi Prepare For World Debut At Frankfurt Motor Show

While many automakers may be skipping out on the Frankfurt Motor Show this year, Opel is more ready than ever. A host of new Opel vehicles will be on display in Frankfurt this year including the Opel Insignia GSi, Insignia Country Tourer and the Opel Grandland X.

It will also be a time for Opel to reveal a new brand image and motif: “the future is everyone’s.” This falls in line with what Opel has done for years now: build cars with advanced technologies for the masses. Opel introduced its Opel Eye system, advanced Matrix LED lighting and Opel OnStar in recent years.

As for its star cars, the Grandland X is arguably the most important. The crossover comes at a time when the market clamors for utility vehicles—even in Europe. However, the Insignia range will be filled out with the public debut of the GSi and Country Tourer. The Country Tourer is North America’s Buick Regal TourX, while the GSi is the Buick Regal GS’ turbocharged four-cylinder cousin.

Opel will take the stage on September 12, 2017, with newly-minted CEO Michael Lohscheller at the helm.
