Die-Hard ‘Halo’ Fan Turns Old Chevrolet Truck Into Video Game’s Warthog

Fans of the “Halo” video game series will recognize this vehicle instantly, but for those who haven’t delved into one of Microsoft and Xbox’s most iconic video series, we’ll explain.

This is a Michigan man’s attempt at recreating a Warthog, a popular in-game vehicle used by Earth’s armies during battles against the Covenant. So, it’s one of the good guy’s vehicles used to transport troops and fight the bad guys, in layman’s terms.

While there are better-looking recreations out there, this is a solid attempt. It’s based on a 1984 Chevrolet K-10 pickup truck that has undergone extensive modifications. Most of the parts have been created by the builder himself via a 3D printer, though he plucked the 350 cubic-inch V8 from another 1984 K-10 pickup truck. For off-road prowess, a four-link suspension was built at the rear, and a three-link resides up front with airbags.

Overall, we’re pretty impressed with the build, especially since it wasn’t carried out with blank checks. You can see tons of photos of the build at the link here.
