No, the Chevrolet Trailblazer still isn’t coming to North America, as much as it saddens us. However, around the globe, Chevrolet does grace consumers with a true sport utility vehicle.
In Thailand, specifically, the Chevrolet Trailblazer has been a smashing success and the brand revealed the Trailblazer Z71 package to keep the SUV fresh in one of its most-popular markets. The Chevrolet Trailblazer Z71 made its debut at the BIG Motor Sale 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand, and features more premium appointments and a black-out package.
Chevrolet Thailand says it’s the most refined vehicle in its lineup. “We are focused on delivering a first-class customer experience. In designing the Trailblazer Z71 we listened to our customers’ feedback, responding with a premium sporty American SUV to meet their needs,” Vanchana Unakul, general director of engineering for General Motors Thailand and Southeast Asia, said.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer is also sold in other various Asian markets and is sold as the Holden Trailblazer in Australia.

there is a giant gap between the acadia and the yukon. this would be perfect to fill that space.
It wouldn’t be a GMC. If it comes, it’ll be a Chevy. The gap between Acadia and Yukon belongs to Buick Enclave.
On the exterior it looks great and I would buy this. Traverse is too big and Chevy needs an Explorer fighter.
Looks like the US Traverse to me.
WHY DO WE NOT HAVE THIS HERE???
For the life of me I will never understand why we don’t get the good vehicles other get and if we do get them we are years behind.
Two words . Barack Oboma and his gas millage regulations . Need to ween people off real trucks
Seems to me that I read that Chevy is going to bring a Blazer to market for the U.S.
VCAT I totally agree with you , in the article it said ” that they listened to their customers feedback in designing the Trailblazer Z71 ” and responded with a ” premium sporty American SUV ” .
Well if this is such an American SUV why doesn’t Chevy get a focus group together and ask them if they think this SUV is something that American buyers would want ( and my guess would be _ell Ya ) and build it .
I hope some of the thinking that went into the Trailblazer shows up in the Blazer ( if we do get one ) .
Isn’t the rumor that the new Blazer is the Chevy version of the Acadia, and not the body-on-frame Colorado-based Trailblazer shown here? I agree, we need this vehicle, something that would be good for towing but not a handful in the city for everyday driving.
I still have my 2003 LS with 193000 on it
And srill goig strong !
Wow, 193000 ? Good to know. I am at 58,000 on my 2008.
I still have my 2003 with 187,000 miles and it also runs great and looks good.
247k, 2003 LTZ. just replaced the steering rack. lol
THIS ARE SAD NEWS AS A TRAILBLAZER OWNER….
I OWN A 2002 LT TB…224,OOO M. AND
STILL STRONG ESPECIALLY WHEN MY FOOT
STEPS ON THE GAS ….IF THE Z71 EVER COMES TO THE US….ILL BUY IT……ILL BE LOOKING
FOR REVIEWS…..
I have a 2005 with 112000 on it , wish they still sold it here in the states, the Tahoe sales were down , so they got rid of it.
I still have my ’07 LT with 190,000 and it’s going strong. Normal wear and tear on the cosmetics but engine is strong and reliable. sips about 1/2 quart of oil between changes.
Just 58000km …good riddance
Mine 2006 Chevy completed almost 220000km.
I hoped it would replace the Cadillac xt5 we build in spring Hill TN but oh well
I still expect It will be here in some form with the update as it. Was not ready for here as it is.
Not a fan of the doors back styling. A bit too Asian and not enough Chevy.
Mixed feelings on our 2008 Trailblazer . GM issues with electrical components, rear gate, driver side controls in door, duel climate controls and blower motor. Almost a $ 2000,00 fix at Tha dealership and GM refuses to do anything about it. All the same issues that are covered up 2007 but that’s where the recall stops. Also watch the front wheel bearings,70,000 miles on vehicle and both sides have been replaced twice. I got tangled up in the Cobalt mess too so the wife and I will be looking for a new manufacturer for our next new car and truck purchase. Sad …….I have always owned GM products except for a Ford Ranger that I purchased to flip.
Sad to see a fellow GM customer go south. I have been lucky with my 08 TBSS, but my Transmission hasn’t always been there during roll racing attempts. I goggled for help and found many others have felt this kind of slippage. GM has not recalled or attempted to fix these problems.
Truck is still rocking, but I baby it during 3rd and 4th gear acceleration.
Trailblazer ZR2 with baby Duramax?
That would be awesome. I don’t understand why the 2.8 Duramax is so down on horse power compared with the Dodge 3.0. The Dodge is only.2 litters bigger but makes 59 more horsepower. That’s 64.65 HPL vs 80 HPL.
