Chemical Guys recently published this video tutorial showing us how to revitalize a cherry red, 1962 Chevrolet Corvette, which had grown a bit dull from sitting.
The video starts out with a refreshing of the polished-aluminum America Racing Torque Thrust wheels. To do this, Nick – the video’s host – uses the Chemical Guys “Ball Buster” applicator and Light Metal Polish to remove the oxidation and bring back the bling.
After polishing the wheels, Nick moves on to cleaning up the body using a clay bar, before polishing the curvaceous C1 Corvette with the TORQ 10FX Polisher and Phase 5 Polish. This polish was specifically designed to be used on fiberglass and gel coats like this Corvette has, although it will work on any painted surface.
Before wrapping things up, Nick hits the interior with the brand’s Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant, which protects against UV rays and repels stains without adding an unnatural shine.
We’d say the video is worth the watch, especially since it gives us the chance to gawk at what is arguably the best-looking generation of the Corvette. Go ahead and click play to see this C1 go from a bit dull-and-faded to totally shiny-and-sleek.

Should this not be how to polish paint not Fiberglass?
What product you use and how you use it depends on the kind of paint and condition it is.
I polish fiberglass all the time and detail it. Depending on the paint determines the product and procedure.
