Wildfire Threatens California Homes, Man Saves 1961 Corvette

For auto enthusiasts, cars are sometimes the greatest of all Earthly possessions. One California man has embodied this statement after he chose his 1961 Chevrolet Corvette over many other things.

Autoweek reported on the semi-humorous happenings after wildfires in California threatened an area of Burbank homes. The homeowner, whose house was in harm’s way before the fire was contained, decided the 1961 Corvette was above all else. Instagram video shows the owner driving the bright red Corvette out of harm’s way.

Thankfully the fire was completely contained and no houses or cars were harmed in the process. However, everyone now knows this guy’s ultimate priority—save the Corvette!

Yes, when your neighborhood is on fire, you get the ’61 Corvette out first! #burbankfires #solidaxlecorvette #61corvette

I know which one I am going after, looks like I’ll be going to the dog pound for a new dog!
