In this video recap, you’ll hear from members of the Chevrolet Performance team as they explain what makes the Hot Rod Power Tour such an enjoyable event. Everyone wants to see the amazing cars that turn up, of course, but the event also provides a venue for customers to meet face-to-face with members of the industry, and an opportunity for everyone to see old friends and make new ones.
“Power Tour is about the camaraderie and being able to come together with a lot of like-minded individuals,” says Rich Downing, Program Manager for Speciality Show Vehicles.
You’ll also hear from a couple of long-time Power Tour participants who continue to return each year, like Todd Ballard – a veteran Power Tour participant. “You go through these little towns, and people are all waving, and there’s little kids out there holding signs, and I’ll tell you, it makes you feel good that people appreciate that,” he remarks.
The video closes with shots of the vast range of vehicles at show, including everything from a 2017 Camaro ZL1 doing a burnout, to the first-gen Camaro shown above, to a couple of 1960s Impala wagons, and more.
