We always love seeing builds that follow the classic “small car + big engine” formula, and this twin-turbocharged, LSX-swapped Opel Kadett is an exemplary adherent to that.
The footage above was taken at the LandRacing No Prep event near Stockholm, Sweden, where the little Kadett struggled to keep its footing. However, when the big slicks managed to hook, the old Opel would take off like a rocket, lifting the front wheels off the ground with ease.
The kooky Kadett and its fearless driver went on to win every race at the event that day, with the only real challenge coming from a second-gen Camaro dragster. The dragster might have won, had it not lost traction after launch, but as the Hollywood saying goes, “it doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning’s winning.”

Just a guess, but I don’t think he’ll be in the market for a 2019 Volvo.
Cool car and funny commentary from the driver/owner.
