Houston Gang Allegedly Stole And Sold $1 Million Worth Of Rental Cars

Eventually, crime catches up to you. A handful of Houston, Texas gang members discovered that after federal law enforcement cracked down and arrested 11 gang members charged with stealing and selling $1 million worth of rental cars.

The gang members, part of the Yung Money/Yung Gunz Bloods gang, allegedly rented vehicles with fake IDs and then sold the cars in other states outside of Texas, according to Chron. The cars were sold for cash on various sites such as Craigslist with a fake bill of sale, fraudulent car titles and vehicle inspection records.

The gang carried out its operation from 2015 until 2017 and stole all makes and models, with a keen eye on profitable Chevrolet Tahoes and GMC Yukons.

Five of the members remain at large, while the aforementioned 11 reside in jail for the time being.
