Ford Flex Protects Crowd From Reckless Chevrolet Camaro: Video

A crowd of bystanders at the city of Wayne’s “Downtown Days” owe their life to a Ford Flex. Ford Authority reports a Ford Flex absorbed the impact from a classic Chevrolet Camaro that lost control.

The driver was reportedly attempting to do a burnout when he lost control of the Camaro and began careening towards the crowd of people as the event was wrapping up. Video shows the Camaro strike the parked Ford Flex as the crowd flees from the oncoming car.

“You have a lot of spectators out here and when the muscle cars come through, they encourage them to do a burnout – spin the tires and cause some smoke,” Cruisin’ US12 organizer John Goci, said. “The car people, they feed off the audience and that’s a very risky and dangerous thing.”

Normally, it’s the Mustang drivers doing the crashing, but this Camaro driver seems to have come down with Mustang syndrome. Though, it’s often a similar case: a driver attempts to show off, and in doing so, loses control. It’s a reminder to keep it safe on public streets, and the driver should be thankful no one was injured. However, the driver was arrested for reckless driving.

  1. “GM Authority”? More like “GM Faux-thority.” I’ve yet to read a single article that wasn’t a nod to the ford fanboys or the euro crowd. Ford Flex saves innocent bystander from dirty camaro? I sure hope whoever owns this site doesn’t pay these clowns to write this propaganda. If I wanted to read about fords, I’d go over to the Taurus SHO forums, where they REALLY know about being “fast”, and entertain myself by reading endless threads about how awesome all these new fords are with their tampon-dispenser looking grilles and Turbo V-sick engines…

    1. By the looks of the format they are run by the same entity. Crazy thing is the author’s names on each story: Szymkowski and Brzozowski. Are you two cousins? 😉

    2. Considering that, in the most recent five pages of articles, 58 of them are about GM products and 2 of them are about Ford, I’d say you should stop whining and change your own tampon. Perhaps someone should get you a pacifier as well, since you want to act like a baby.
