The GM Authority Take

The decrease in cumulative U.S. Volt sales volume over the past three months follows 18 consecutive months of volume growth, which was the result of the nationwide rollout of the second-generation Volt, which was initially available only in select markets (states). It’s also possible that the recently-launched Chevy Bolt EV is responsible for cannibalizing some Volt sales.

  1. One has to wonder where are all of the protesters outraged by Donald Trump withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Accord as you would think they would be lining up at their local Chevy dealership to buy a Chevy Volt especially if their daily commute is under 40 miles, they never need to buy gas and could operate the Volt like an electric vehicle.
