Chevy Traverse Sales Increase 30 Percent To 10,780 Units In June 2017

Chevrolet Traverse sales increased in the United States and decreased in Canada during June 2017.

Chevrolet Traverse deliveries in the United States totaled 10,780 units in June 2017, an increase of 29.9 percent compared to 8,297 units sold in June 2016. The figures represent the Traverse’s best June sales performance since 2011.

In the first six months of 2017, sales of the full-size crossover increased more than 4 percent to 56,958 units.

Traverse deliveries in Canada decreased nearly 50 percent to 287 units in June 2017. In the first six months of the year, Traverse sales increased 1.9 percent to 1,958 units in Canada.

While the 2017 model-year is the oldest vehicle in its class, the Traverse continues to hold its own, posting highly impressive retail sales in recent months — likely as a result of attractive lease deals on the outgoing model — as the GM Lansing Delta Township factory where the crossover is assembled is converted to produce the all-new 2018 Chevy Traverse. The all-new model has already started to reach dealer lots, albeit in small quantities. Its launch cadence is set to be completed by the end of calendar year 2017.

The new Traverse delivers important improvements in every aspect of the vehicle, enabling it to become even more competitive against its direct rivals, a factor that we expect will translate to higher overall sales volume and average transaction prices, both of which are the primary indicators of a model’s health and success in the marketplace.
