Cadillac Introduces Apple Watch Capability For 2011 And Newer Vehicles

Cadillac users have some new gadgetry to test out. Starting today, owners of 2011 and newer Cadillac models can now sync their myCadilllac iOS application with their Apple Watches.

By doing this, owners can locate their vehicles, lock and unlock the doors, activate the horn and lights, receive walking directions to their Cadillac and, yes, start their car via an Apple Watch.

The commands are brought up instantly and provide quick access to the most needed functions. Plus, it’s just kind of cool. Like you never dreamed of being James Bond and starting your car from your wrist. You can’t fool us.

Apple CarPlay is standard on every new Cadillac vehicle, which also lets Apple users access a potentially preferred vehicle infotainment system that mimics iOS. Phone contacts, messages, navigation and more are available within Apple CarPlay.

The myCadillac app will seamlessly integrate with any Apple Watch running WatchOS 3 and can be downloaded from the App Store.

  2. maybe Cadillac will have a $90.000 Halo flagship sedan whale the CT6 could fazed out the lineup after it’s run…so that way thare would be a bigger gap between the Mid-size and full-size flagship Caddys…the CT6 is just a LARGER CTS and the CTS and CT6 are too close to each other.

  3. “A new report from market intelligence firm IDC shows Apple Watch sales have dropped 55% since the product was launched. Sales plummeted in the latest quarter, according to IDC. That’s in spite of a price discount.”

No word yet about Cadillac’s forthcoming deal with Palm Pilot.

  4. do you need your iPhone in your pocket for this to work?

  5. I’m using this with MyChevrolet, and my Camaro, right now. It’s probably an update on all the apps for the brands.

I wouldn’t think the phone would have to necessarily be in your pocket, but it would have to be in close Bluetooth range with the watch.

  6. I’ve used this app for over 6 months & IT’S WORKED FAWLESSLY! COME ON PEOPLE, THESE REVIEWS ARE ABOUT THE APP & NOT YOUR VEHICLE! I’m seeing comments like no internet connection, won’t log in, etc. If you have a good internet connection, a quality working device & know what you’re doing, this app will work as designed! Get someone to help you set it up correctly & teach you how to use the app & maybe we’ll see more realistic reviews posted! Oh & I’m not connected to Cadillac, just calling it like I’m seeing it! MY 2016 ESCALADE ESV IS AWESOME PERIOD!! PS: Also the Cadillac Infotainment people are the best, try calling them if you need help.
