The GM Authority Take
The Cascada has accounted for 10,608 deliveries since its U.S. launch in January 2016, thereby fulfilling its objective of filling “white space” for Buick. As such, the drop experienced in June and in the first five months of 2017 shouldn’t come as a significant surprise given that 2016 sales figures were boosted by pent-up demand.
To us, the more pertinent question is whether the Cascada or a vehicle like it has a long-term future given GM’s sale of its European Opel-Vauxhall unit, which developed the vehicle and is responsible for its production at the GM-Opel Gliwice factory in Poland.

Playing Dr Frankenstein, I would tear out the engine and guts of the Buick Cascada then transfer the parts from the Chevrolet Bolt EV; bang.. the Cascada is transformed to sporty 2-door convertible electric vehicle as performance may actually be a bit better and it would still have a range of over 200 miles.
Cascada is pleasant enough i suppose but as exciting as a Toyota. orand as exciting We know Buick can design wow concepts. Why must an iconic American brand look so Asian generic?
Polish generic, in this case, I believe,,,
An Opel product, yes? Hard to what the future holds for Cascada.
Oh it’s much more exciting than any Toyota outside of the 86 or Supra. Have you driven a Toyota lately?
This car is a short term fix for Buick till GM has Time to address their cars.
This is not a bad car but it is old. While that may be the case it is still much better to sell a small number of these vs an empty space in the show room till they get the new product here.
The slow changes at Cadillac has slowed change at Buick too. There just is not a void to fill yet as Cadillac has not gotten the new product out yet.
