While the internet may be ablaze with the recently-revealed 2018 Buick Regal GS, the brand snuck a few other pieces of information into GS’ official release.
In particular, the more relaxed 2018 Buick Regal Sportback has an official price. When it goes on sale this fall, the 2018 Buick Regal Sportback will start at $25,915, which includes destination. Whip out a calculator and that’s about $2,000 less expensive than the current 2017 Buick Regal.
Standard equipment includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, push-button start, a universal home remote, active safety hood, heated side mirrors and hill start assist. On the infotainment side of things, a seven-inch touchscreen is standard, but an eight-inch unit is optional. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are present and accounted for.
We previously reported the 2018 Buick Regal TourX will start just under $30,000 at $29,995. The TourX represents Buick’s first wagon in over a decade and boasts 73.5 cubic feet of cargo space.
The Buick Regal Sportback will go on sale this fall, while the Buick Regal TourX isn’t expected to arrive at dealerships until February of 2018.

Finally GM opens up the interior by enlarging windows ,creating a more spacious interior. To often GM , in the mid size segment , has created compact size interiors .To me a profoundly stupid policy . Why does it take GM so long to get it right ?
If you look at the configurator, the base Regal is pretty sparsely equipped. I wonder if the move downmarket is an attempt to capture would-be Verano buyers.
So looking foward to this car. Looks great.
Looks good. Interesting. Good job here GM / Buick.
Once again the best of Buick and GM is from Opel.
This low price must be intended to woo Verano as well as SUV buyers.
I don’t think that Buick should become functioning in the snarky Chevrolet segment as this takes away from luxury street cred. Then.again sedans in 2017 aren’t in demand.
Brilliant concept for an American brand, building on the design of Porsche Panamera and Audi A7. Predict it will be a very big seller. Needs to have significant performance, hopefully even the V6, in a very demure, unassuming package.
Those curweights can’t be right on the specs page. They list it at 3748 for the cheapest base model with 17″ wheels and over 3800 on upper trims. The current regal doesn’t weigh nearly 4000 LBS.
It would sure be nice to see what options will be available for the base Regal along when it will actually be available to test drive
