Holden Special Vehicles has a very, well, special order of cars heading to the United Kingdom. Vauxhall has announced it will offer the HSV GTSR as the VXR8 GTS-R and it will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This isn’t the bonkers GTSR W1, which features the C6 Corvette ZR1’s 6.2-liter LS9 supercharged V8 engine, but it does have a mighty potent 6.2-liter LSA supercharged V8 under the hood. The mill is good for 586 horsepower and 545 pound-feet of torque.
The Vauxhall VXR8 GTS-R will benefit from other HSV goodies such as 20-inch forged alloy wheels, bigger six-piston brakes with 410 mm discs in the front and a limited-slip differential. Â Vauxhall has been graced with some of HSV’s hottest toys since 2007, but the VXR8 GTS-R marks the final time an Australian car meets the UK.
Vauxhall will offer 15 units of VXR8 GTS-R and, as mentioned, it will be on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed between June 29 and July 2.
