Have you ever seen a GMC Yukon Denali at the dragstrip? What about a Yukon going up against the likes of a modified Ford Mustang or Mercedes-Benz?
Sure, it’s just a modified EcoBoost Mustang, and no, a 1991 420SEL isn’t a performance marvel, but the entertainment value in watching them go head-to-head with a heavyweight like the Yukon is still there. The question is, does the big bad 6.2-liter EcoTec3 L86 V8 have enough “bald eagles” in it to keep the Benz and tuned Mustang at bay?
To make things even more interesting, the Yukon and the Mustang make 2 passes, one from a roll and one from a dig, and the Yukon takes the hit (gets to punch it first). We won’t spoil the ending for you, but we will say there’s a chance you might be surprised.

That should really help FOMOCO crashing stock price! Mustang outrun by a Yukon, what a joke!
The prob with the Stang is it has the EcoSlow engine. ;-P
I have known this for the past 10 months I am the proud owner of a 2016 GMC Yukon XL Denali with a 6.2 L engine and the 8 speed transmission, I experienced this myself I had a 2016 Mustang next to me and we both accelerated and wouldn’t you know it at this half-mile I beat him by to length. Needless to say when GM came out with that eight speed transmission and 6.2 L engine in the Denali is a winner even driving on the road at 60 miles an hour I averaged 26.8 miles to the gallon no joke it is true and I have been using regular gas not premium, maintain your tire pressure and 37 psi also keep your vehicle and tiptop running condition change your oil every 4000 miles this way you maintain your vehicle and tiptop condition the sites that my Yukon XL Denali gets better gas mileage than the expedition.
